DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED FOR THE LETTER OF REFERENCE FOR AGENT / DISTRIBUTOR IN INDONESIA

LEGAL BASIS

1.      Government Regulation (PP) Number 28 of 2025 concerning the Implementation of Risk-Based Business Licensing.
2.      Regulation of The Minister of Trade of The Republic of Indonesia Number 24 of 2021 Concerning Agreements for The          Distribution of Goods by Distributors or Agents.
3.      Regulation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Number 16 of 2022 concerning the Sixth Amendment to the Decree of              the Minister of Foreign Affairs Number SK.06/A/OT/VI/2004/01 of 2004 concerning the Organization and Work                  Procedures of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia Abroad.

REQUIRE DOCUMENTS :

1.      Letter of request to issue Letter of Reference for Agent/Distributor in Indonesia to:

       Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to the Kingdom of Thailand
       Attention to:
       Trade Attaché
       Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia
       600-602 Phetchaburi Road, Phayathai, Bangkok 10400

2.      Letter of Intent
3.      Letter of Statement
4.      Letter of Appointment
5.      Working Program
6.      Company Registration Certificate from Department of Business Development (original document in Thai will be                    returned afterwards) with English translation
7.      Agent or distributor agreement
8.      Copy of Passport/ID of the appointed Chief of Agent/Distributor in Indonesia
9.      Business registration number (NIB) Agent/Distributor in Indonesia

Notes:
-   Documents no. 2 – 6 must be certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs prior to be legalized at the Embassy of the            Republic of Indonesia

-   Documents no. 7 must be legalized by Public Notary in Thailand.

The agreement must contain at least :
a.      names and addresses of the parties
b.      purpose of the agreement
c.      status of distributorship or agency
d.      the type of goods
e.      the territory/area/zone
f.       rights and obligations of the parties
g.      authority
h.      duration of the agreement
i.       termination mechanism
j.       disputes settlement
k.      grace period of the completion

Please submit the documents by hand to the office of the Trade Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok for issuing Letter of Reference for Distributor/Agent at the Office of Trade Attaché and further be Legalized or stamped at the Consular Section, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok.
